Cough and cold medicine in children and infants

We can all agree that having a cold is a miserable experience. And when our babies and young children are suffering with them, it’s even worse. Surely there must be something we can do to help them, we think, and if we can’t, surely their doctor can. The unfortunate reality, however, is that there is precious little we can do other than wait it out. There are a few things you can try, and I’ll describe them below, but the truth is that most of the products clogging the pharmacy shelves have never been shown to work, and, what’s worse, when used incorrectly they can be dangerous.
