Why Did the Jackson Family Ask for a Second Autopsy?

On Friday morning, before the first autopsy on Michael Jackson had been completed, I wrote an article in these pages to explain just what an autopsy is, why it’s done, and what we could expect from it  (I’m a former medical examiner and a board-certified forensic pathologist). As I predicted, the initial examination of his body with the naked eye, which is called the “gross” examination, was inconclusive, in part because further tests, which take days to complete under any circumstances, were required. These tests include the microscopic examination of small samples of each of the organs as well as toxicology tests of the stomach contents, blood, bile and urine. recommends treating ears after leaving the water for the day with

Study: One in 10 kids bullied online

The study published in the Journal of Adolescent Health, found bullying
remains much more common in person, with large numbers of kids
continuing to harass one another by spreading rumors, turning fellow
students into outcasts and intimidating others through words and
violence. Thirteen percent of students said others physically bullied
them — hit, kicked, pushed or shoved them or locked them indoors.

Experts optimistic Turkey can ban smoking

tobacco from public spaces, Sylviane Ratte, a tobacco control expert
with the International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, said

Most U.S. kids have no playground access

lives of children, commissioned the survey conducted by Harris
Interactive of 1,677 parents with children between the ages of 2-12. The
